Content marketing is exploding right now — and we’re working hard to meet the needs of the market.
We create new educational content each week here on Copyblogger. And we offer advanced content marketing training in our Authority program.
But for an elite group of professional writers, we offer our most advanced training: the Copyblogger Content Marketer Certification program.
This program offers writers the opportunity to submit their content for review by a member of the Copyblogger editorial team. Those who pass the application process are featured on our Copyblogger Certified Content Marketer page.
This week, we are opening the program again for a short time to allow a new group of writers inside.
If you’re a writer who’s ready to outperform the competition and fill your plate with better clients who pay you more for your work, please join us.
Is the Certification program for you?
The Certification program gets results for its graduates.
Want to hear specifics? Read about the experiences of writers who’ve worked through the program and become certified: Certified Stories.
We know you may have questions about the program and we want to give you all the information you need to make a smart decision. That’s why we created a free course outline and syllabus for our Certification program. It covers:
- Details about the material you’ll learn
- How the program works — how long it takes and what the Certification process is like

This was a terrific program. I learned a lot! Loved the pace of the program and the submission process was a valuable learning experience.

You’d be hard pressed to find anything better than Copyblogger’s certification program to become an expert on Content Marketing. They’re the mega-experts. In fact they pretty much invented Content Marketing. Why not learn from the best? And from the team that gives you the best resources? It’s great program to help your bottom line, no matter if you want to help others with their Content Marketing or if you want this info solely for your own Content Marketing.
Sue Campbell says
This program was a game-changer for me. Smartest investment I made in my freelancing career and I’m STILL learning from the resources, two years later.
Debbie Rebar says
In the sometimes crazy world of internet marketing (which I’ve worked in for the last 14 years), the copyblogger team is the “anti-crazy.” There still aren’t magic pills, but if you’re willing to put in the work, this is the instruction you’ve been looking for.
Pamela Wilson says
Debbie, I’ve never felt prouder to represent the “anti-crazy.”
Thanks for all the comments here, folks! 🙂
Carin Kilby Clark says
Haha “anti-crazy” is a perfect description! 🙂

I thought this certification program was absolutely terrific. I’ve had offers to do many others, but most of them I pass by, but I am so glad I did this one.
I’ll start by saying that the program is easy to follow, the course material is very thorough and comprehensive, but it is not something you just get through and then like magic, you’re certified. The fact that you must qualify once you complete the course means that that certification actually means something.
Finally, I turn work away regularly because almost every one of my writing leads comes to me because of this certification. It allows me to pick and choose and always have potential clients coming in. I will add that I do not advertise at all currently so for me this is a huge plus.
If you’re on the fence, I suggest going for it. It will be the best certification program you’ll ever take.

The Copyblogger Content Marketer Certification Program is one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my writing business… Even now (two years later) I still refer back to the lessons and materials to get new ideas and refine my practice.
Kathy says
I am a new blogger. Can I apply for this program ?
Pamela Wilson says
Hi Kathy,
The Certified Content Marketer program is for writers who want to sell content marketing services. If that describes you, we’d love to have you in the program!
Lily says
I’m an in-house content marketer with no formal training in this field. I’m not looking to leave my job—maybe just tip my toes into freelancing, but that’s not my primary motivation. I mostly want to learn more, so I can grow and improve in my current position. How worthwhile is this program for me? Or would I be better off just joining Authority and exploring those resources?
Pamela Wilson says
Lily, if you’re already working as a content marketer, you’d benefit from the course materials — they’d help you be better at your job.
And if you do decide to dip your toes into freelancing, you’ll get access to a lot of information about pricing and structuring your offers that would make the transition easier.
I’ve told a couple of people this week that the program wasn’t a good fit for them. But you’re exactly the kind of person we created it for! I think you’ll benefit from what you’ll learn.
Nagesh K Bansal says
Advanced content marketing training is country specific or anyone can participate?
Pamela Wilson says
Nagesh, anyone can participate. The course material is in English: there are audios and full transcripts available, so you can either listen, or read (or do both).
If you decide to apply to be certified, your application materials must be in English.
Watch the blog tomorrow: I did an interview with Jelle Annaars, whose native language is Dutch. He took the course and was certified, and now uses his certification status to hep him get clients for his Dutch writing business.
Svetlana Nikolic says
Since I’m not a native speaker, I was a little hesitant whether to join the Certification program or not. But Copyblogger Content Marketer Certification program exceeded all my expectations. I learned a lot!
Most of my clients and potential clients didn’t have a clue about the SEO. They were doing it the wrong way and my writing suffered. So my main goal was to learn how to help them. Thanks to the Certification program, I now know how to optimize content for Google the right way.
Also, I learned to strategically think about content creation for me and my clients, why it’s better for my freelance business to position myself as a content strategist, what kind of questions to ask clients in order to provide the best service, and the list goes on 🙂 …
So if you’re having doubts like me, just go for it and you won’t regret it!
Pamela Wilson says
Svetlana, thank you for this feedback! It’s very helpful to hear from another non-native speaker who benefited from the program.
